Purpose of the Institution
GEA University of San Marco is established to provide Christ-centered, postsecondary theological education designed to equip individuals for professional, ministerial, academic, and service-oriented vocations. Our purpose is to deliver programs that support the development of ethical leadership, critical scholarship, spiritual maturity, and intercultural engagement through both traditional and distance education modalities.
This purpose aligns with the intent of Section 1005.01, Florida Statutes, which affirms the role of independent postsecondary institutions in contributing to the diversity, accessibility, and quality of higher education within the state. As a religious nonpublic postsecondary educational institution, GEA University of San Marco serves its community and the public interest by:
- Offering academic programs that are consistent with institutional mission and student outcomes;
- Operating with transparency in governance, curriculum, and consumer protection;
- Promoting lifelong learning and workforce relevance in theological and ministerial fields;
- Ensuring academic integrity, financial responsibility, and student support consistent with Florida state standards.
