  • Licensure Requirements in Florida: To become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, one must obtain a master's degree in counseling or a related field, complete supervised clinical experience, and pass the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
